TEST - Coastal path etiquette: leads, livestock, and tide times
scotland
- coast
- leads
- livestock
Check tide tables before narrow cliff sections—some routes cut off for an hour either side of high water.
When passing sheep or cattle, shorten the lead and walk quietly. If your dog has never seen livestock, choose a route with fencing first.
Bag bins are not always on the path; carry an extra bag and pack out what you pack in.
